Welcome to Tightwad Garage
Some may view the term Tightwad as being pejorative. Far from being a penny-pinching miser, most tightwads are merely people who are careful with their money.
The same applies to the auto enthusiast. Sure there are well-heeled individuals who can afford just about any kind of car. They have the privilege of building collections and play a key role in keeping automotive history alive and assccessible to those of us who don't have their resources.
One of the things that I've noticed and come to appreciate about having a passion for automobiles is that you don't necessarily need to own one to derive a level of enjoyment from them.
From your local cars and coffee up through big time events like the Pebble Beach Concours Tour d'Elegance and Detroit's Dream Cruise, there's plenty of opportunity to appreciate auto designs and mechanical wonders.
That in a nutshell, what this site is about. Auto enthusiasm on a budget.
